Weddings
How many guests can Bury Court Barn hold for a wedding?
Bury Court Barn holds up to 160 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 200 for the evening reception. It also takes 200 for cocktails and canapés.
Is Bury Court an exclusive-use wedding venue?
Yes, Bury Court is always exclusive use, with one wedding at a time. The barn and the gardens are yours from 10am until midnight, and all 15 bedrooms are yours for the night.
What time does a wedding at Bury Court finish?
Weddings finish at midnight. Venue hire runs from 10am until midnight.
Is there a set running order or package we have to follow?
No, there's no set running order. Tell us how you want the day to go, and we'll help you make it happen. We'll guide you, but it's your wedding, not ours.
Can we choose our own suppliers?
We work with a range of suppliers who can tailor things to your wishes, and we co-ordinate the details for you.
Pricing
How much does a wedding at Bury Court cost?
A wedding at Bury Court costs from £7,335 including VAT, for exclusive use of the venue and all 15 bedrooms. That's the 2027 late-booking rate for a Monday to Thursday in January to March or November to December. Food and drink are priced per head on top.
Why does Bury Court's price look higher than other venues?
Our price includes all 15 bedrooms (£3,375), and many venues quote without rooms. Take the rooms out and compare the venue hire alone: from £3,960 in 2027.
Is there a discount for 2027 weddings?
Yes, 2027 venue hire is 10% off the usual price for late bookings. Late 2027 bookings also include the Tuk Tuk bar (usually £250) and the ice cream bike (usually £100).
How do payments work?
You pay in three stages: when you book, 12 months before the wedding, and 6 months before. Monthly payment plans are also available.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes, our venue hire and room prices include 20% VAT.
Ceremonies
Can we get married outdoors at Bury Court?
Yes, you can marry outdoors in the ceremony garden, or indoors in the barn.
What happens to an outdoor ceremony if it rains?
If it rains, your ceremony moves into the barn, so the weather never decides for you.
Stay
How many guests can stay overnight at Bury Court?
Bury Court has 15 bedrooms beside the barn, including the bridal suite, sleeping about 30 guests. All 15 come with every wedding, and you choose who stays.
Do we have to book all 15 bedrooms?
Yes, all 15 rooms are booked with every wedding, and they're already in our "from" price. You can ask guests to pay for their own room: rooms cost £190 to £285 a night.
Is breakfast included for guests who stay?
Yes, every room includes a light continental breakfast.
Where can guests stay if the rooms are full?
There are hotels and B&Bs nearby in Bentley and Farnham.
Food and drink
Who does the catering at Bury Court?
Our own in-house caterers, The Good Life, cook every wedding at Bury Court. You plan the menu with the chefs who'll cook it, from fine dining to street food.
How much does wedding food cost at Bury Court?
Wedding menus cost from £85 a head for sausage and mash, and £100 for two courses or £115 for three on our seasonal and roast menus. The BBQ is £100 a head for two meats and two sides, or £115 for three of each, with a starter and a dessert. Every wedding menu includes three canapés per guest. Children's menus are from £30.
Is there a drinks package?
Yes, The Package costs £39.50 a head: two reception drinks, half a bottle of house wine each, a prosecco toast, table water, and tea and coffee after the meal.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes, every menu has vegetarian and gluten-free choices, and most have vegan dishes. Tell us about allergies when you plan your menu.
Corporate
Can we hold a corporate event at Bury Court?
Yes, Bury Court hosts meetings, away days, conferences and launches for 30 to 200 people, with 15 bedrooms on site and our own catering.
What meeting rooms do you have?
We have three spaces: the Barn for up to 200, the Oast House for 60 theatre-style or 20 to 30 boardroom, and the Loft Space for 45. Full audio-visual hire is available.
Celebrations
Can we hold a birthday or anniversary party at Bury Court?
Yes, we host everything from 18th birthdays to anniversary parties in the barn, with our own kitchen and bar. Smaller gatherings like baby showers suit the Hop Kiln Café.
Wakes
Can we hold a wake at Bury Court?
Yes, we hold wakes in the barn, for about 150 seated or 200 standing. Catering can be anything from a finger buffet to a full sit-down meal.

How do we book a viewing?
Book a viewing online and we'll arrange a time to show you the barn, the rooms and the gardens.
Can we visit the gardens without booking an event?
Yes, the gardens are open to visitors on non-event days, but they can close for private hire, so check first. The Hop Kiln Café is open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm.
